Frequently Asked Questions
Why are there craters in my candle?
It is very typical to see craters in soy wax candles, due to its unique design. Generally after you reburn a candle to a full melt pool and the wax cool again it usually eliminates this problem.
Why is my wick producing black smoke when I light it?
Black smoke is common after re-lighting a wick that was not trimmed again. The best candle burning practice is to trim the wick 1/4' before re burning.
My candle is sunken in the middle after I burned it for a little while and then blew it out, what happened?
Please allow for your candle to burn at least 1.5- 2 hours for a full melt pool in order to get an even surface melt.
My candle has a brown tinted color in the wax, why? Can I still burn the candle?
The brown tint comes from fragrance oil that contains high levels of vanillin (Vanilla, Cinnamon Candy Apple, and Cinnamon Spice) that gives the scent that sweet vanilla smell. When the wax is exposed to UV light, the wax browns due its natural chemical properties mixed with the vanillin. This is the natural reaction that occurs and does not affect the functionality of the candle itself. The candle will operate the same.
